Watershed Talks: Urban Wildlife Coexistence

The Lake Sammamish Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership (UWRP) is proud to announce the launch of our exciting and informative new FREE event series, “Watershed Talks,” with the inaugural event titled “Urban Wildlife Coexistence.”
Delve into the realm of Urban Wildlife conservation efforts with a captivating presentation by Woodland Park Zoo. Discover how their community science volunteer programs, such as the Seattle Urban Carnivore Project and the Bat Activity Trends (BAT) program, are making a significant impact on coexistence with our wildlife neighbors. Explore how you as a local resident can get involved and help with Urban Wildlife protection. Following the talk, take a walk with partners to see wildlife habitat and restoration sites in the Park.

Free to attend. Attendance at this event is limited, please register in advance to save your seat: www.lakesammamishrefuge.org/upcoming-events/urbanwildlife

“Urban Wildlife Coexistence” is part of our new “Watershed Talks” series, offering informal programs that invite the community to find connection to nature, better understand their local lands, waters, fish, and wildlife, and get inspired to care for our shared watersheds.

This event is made possible by the collaborative efforts of Lake Sammamish Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership Organizations: Trout Unlimited, Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park, Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, Three Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Issaquah Alps Trails Club, and Washington State Parks, King County, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
