Tea Discovery Class

Experience Tea is a full service tea shop with retail sales in addition to fun classes! Located in Issaquah Washington’s historic downtown Creative District, Experience Tea’s classes are perfect for the individual, family, and group gathering.

In this introduction to tea class you will learn what tea is, where tea is grown and produced, and how tea becomes white, green, oolong, black and pu’erh. You will learn the difference between tea and tisane (and does it matter?).

You will taste teas from the top five tea producing Asian countries: China, Taiwan, Japan, Sri Lanka and India. There is fun history, myth and lore shared—you won’t be bored.

This class is recommended for all people curious about tea, and especially helpful if taken prior to our other classes.

Young people 10 and older do great in this class and it’s a perfect multi-generational family event.
