PNW Nature Understanding on Cougar Mountain, a FREE Guided Hike
Join Issaquah Alps Trails Club’s Svet Semov on this hike on the De Leo Wall trail featuring some of the highest density of conifers in Cougar Mountain. The hike will move at a moderate pace occasionally stopping to:
- identify local trees and plants like Douglas fir, Western redcedar, Bigleaf maple, Oregon grape, salal etc.
- talk about the impacts of climate change on local nature.
- discuss recent Issaquah Alps Trails Club work in conservation and education.
