Why Riparian and Wetland Areas are so Important for Plant and Wildlife Diversity

Join the Issaquah Alps Trails Club (IATC) and the City of Issaquah on a FREE guided hike along Pickering Reach to explore how riparian areas and wetlands are critical habitats for plant and wildlife diversity in the face of a rapidly changing climate.

This hike will focus on the City of Issaquah’s efforts to conserve and restore riparian habitat to support threatened salmon populations and a wide array of plant species and other wildlife that rely on these vital habitats along our rivers and lakeshores.

This hike series is part of IATC’s Climate Change Initiative.

FREE to Participate. NO PETS ALLOWED.  Registration is required.
