Learn About & Visit Village Theatre in Issaquah
The award-winning Village Theatre in Issaquah is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most treasured professional performing arts venues, located in the heart of downtown. Many Broadway-bound shows make their debut here including Million Dollar Quartet, the inspiration for One Night in Memphis.
Located in the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre building, they are known for their new and original musical theatre development and their engagement with the youth of the community.
You can expect each season to include at least one new musical theatre piece, and one non-musical comedy or drama, in addition to fresh takes on musical classics.
The Village Theatre believes in the power and value of musical theatre and the Village Originals program supports and nurtures musical theatre writers at every stage of the writing process. Over 160 new musicals have come from this program.
The KIDSTAGE program teaches youth, from three to twenty, important life skills through the medium of musical theatre. Students graduate from the program with increased self-confidence after their experience using creative problem solving skills in a collaborative environment to produce and star in musical theatre performances.
What could be more magical for a child than to see their favorite characters fly off the page and onto the stage? Pied Piper does just that, hosting theatre, dance, and music companies for public and school performances, many of which are based on children’s literature. Come see them bring literature to life!
