Vertiver and Sundew Records and Art pc Seattle Refined

Vetiver & Sundew Art, Records & Plants

Tucked among the restaurants and boutiques near Issaquah’s historic Gilman Village is a tiny shop with a big personality.

Described by one visitor as “the coolest little shop in Issaquah,” Sundew Records and Plants offers a unique combination of vintage vinyl, carnivorous plants, and original art by local artists.

“We basically opened this shop because it’s what we’re passionate about. art and records and plants,” said Richie Bemm, who owns and operates the business with his wife, Kristina Ricotta-Bemm.

The shop features a variety of musical genres and everything is carefully curated.”We put a lot of thoughtfulness into every detail of the space, as far as what we sell,” said Kristina. “The plants and the records are very thoughtfully chosen and cared for.” The gallery of original art is rotated every two months.

Vetiver and Sundew, this combined signage that we had, made sense because they’re both plants,” said Richie. “We have a great love of plants and a great love of very good lighting and a great love of vintage-found old things, too so this whole space has been a combination of nontoxic materials and found vintage things. This has been a labor of love.”
