Art Workshop: Monotype 101
Experience the spontaneity of monotype printing! Unlike other forms of printmaking, with monotypes, you apply ink directly to a plexiglass plate and hand press the image onto paper. This is a fascinating approach to printmaking that uses the skills you may be familiar with from linocut or woodcut, and teaches you a new perspective.
With monotypes, you only make one print, and can never replicate it in quite the same way again. Ephemeral beauty.
Taught by local printmaker William Cook, this workshop meets from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on February 7, and is open to adults of any skill level. No experience is necessary. All materials provided by Happy Time.
$100 per person.
