Close out the summer with a post-holiday clean up! Join members of the Lake Sammamish Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership (UWRP) for this fun and meaningful community event at Lake Sammamish State Park.
Event Details: Meet at 10:00 am on September 3rd at the Sunset Beach Bathhouse at Lake Sammamish State Park for a special park clean up. Volunteers will spread out around the park to help pick up trash after the busy Labor Day weekend.
All volunteers who participate are invited to gather after the event for refreshments. Lake Sammamish UWRP partners will have booths set-up to share information about their work and more opportunities to get involved.
Discover Pass: Participants will receive an annual Discover Pass for volunteering (limited to one per vehicle/group).
What to bring: Water and a snack if needed. Please dress for the weather. Gloves, buckets, bags, and trash grabbers will be provided. Tools for weed removal will also be provided.
Accessibility: This event is open to people of all ages and abilities. Clean up activities will take place around Lake Sammamish State Park on uneven ground including sand, grass, gravel and paved trails. The park has accessible facilities. We understand everyone experiences the outdoors differently and we are open to working with anyone that needs additional support. Please contact us in advance so that we can do our best to accommodate your needs and/or find a way for you or your group to have fun participating in our event.
