Join the VFW Post #3436 for a Veterans Day Service.

Components include:

• Performance of Liberty High School’s Junior ROTC
• Flag presentation
• Recognize veterans in attendance
• Guest speaker Dave Waggoner will share about Women’s Air Force Service Pilot (WASP) Second Lieutenant Elizabeth Jane Eriksen, an Issaquah High School and University of Washington graduate who was killed in training during World War II
• Refreshments will be provided by Flintoff’s

Following the service, swing by Blakely Hall for an open house reception. All veterans, their families, and members of the community are invited to enjoy some light refreshments and thank our veterans for their service, while viewing a special photo gallery dedicated to Issaquah residents who have served.

King County’s Metro Flex is donating free transportation between the Veterans Day Service and the Veterans Day Reception in the Highlands. Rides will leave the Service event at 12 p.m. Return trips back to the Senior Center will leave the Reception event at 1:30 p.m. Learn more about Metro Flex here.
