Spring Into Fitness in Issaquah Highlands

Join local fitness instructors for a free morning workout every Saturday in May. This is a great way to try a variety of workouts and get ready for summer! Each workout is free and appropriate for all fitness levels. Please bring your own yoga mat. We will have a few available, but not enough for the whole class.

Disclaimer: Children are welcome, but only if they plan to participate in the workout class. Please note that children must be supervised at all times, as there will be no staff available to watch them separately.

May 2: Infinite Taekwondo will begin with simple stretching, followed by light cardio, basic kicking drills and target kicking practice. The session with conclude with some light fitness exercises.

May 9: SHiNE Dance Fitness™ brings original routines to life using hit music and choreography for all abilities. Rooted in jazz, ballet and hip-hop, this workout gives you a creative outlet to escape from daily stress. Each class includes the perfect balance of high-cardio and toning to ensure you receive a full-body workout with real results. SHiNE™ is a mood-lifting experience that leaves you feeling capable, confident and connected to a supportive community.

May 16: Join the renowned John Jessum, one of Issaquah’s most sought-after instructors, for an energizing all-levels Pineapple Power Yoga class. This dynamic flow will build strength, boost flexibility and ignite your inner fire, all while fostering a sense of community and connection. Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, John’s inspiring guidance will leave you feeling strong, centered and ready to take on the weekend. We are more than happy to answer any questions about yoga, so come ask anything you’ve always wondered about!

May 23: Pilates Studio 11 will lead a 45-minute Mat Pilates class focused on core, lower body and back strength. A big part of Pilates is understanding body alignment and how precision and control help activate muscles in a way you’ve never experienced before. This class will enhance posture, stability, and mobility, helping you move more efficiently and feel stronger.

May 30: Barre3 workout combining strength, cardio and mindfulness. You will move through low-impact isometric moves, large-range cardio bursts and mind-centering breath work. This class will leave you feeling balanced in body and empowered within.
