Plogging for Earth Day – Troll and Chocolate

Celebrate the week of Earth Day with a fun and rewarding adventure.
The event will start with a level two mile round trip walk to visit the fanciful Jakob Two Trees, made entirely of recycled and repurposed materials. On the way, we will pick up litter along the Rainier Trail.
After our plogging walk, we will drive to the nearby Fortunato Chocolates to sample some of the best chocolates on Earth, with the heavy metal-free cacao sourced from sustainable fair market farms in northern Peru.
This is a family friendly event. All cleanup supplies will be provided. Bellevue Green & Clean is a partner affiliate of Seattle Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
What is Plogging? Plogging is a Swedish fitness trend combining jogging with picking up litter (“plocka upp” + “jogga”) to clean the environment while exercising. It involves squats and bending to collect trash, which adds a strength training component to cardio.
