Meet the Author: Nadia Salomon

Welcome local award-winning author, Nadia Salomon!
She will read her new Children’s picture book, “A Rakhi for Rakesh”, on release day!
In this beautifully illustrated book, brother and sister duo Rakesh and Aashi discover the importance of forgiveness as they celebrate Raksha Bandhan.
Q&A and a craft follows the reading.
Salomon’s nonfiction picture book biography, “A Voice of Hope”, is the first to cover the life of activist, Myrlie Evers-Williams and her contributions to the civil rights movement. “A Voice of Hope” is the 2025 BCALA, School Library Journal winner of the Children & Youth Literacy Award for nonfiction and has earned a 2025 Notable Social Studies Trade Book award.
Her award-winning, debut picture book, “Goodnight Ganesha”, celebrates the nighttime rituals of two young children visiting their grandparents in India.
