Guided Hike: Old Tie Mill on Squak Mountain
Join the Issaquah Alps Trails Club and visit the site of an old sawmill high on the slopes of Squak Mountain. The mill specialized in railroad ties for the Milwaukee railroad and thus has been known as the old “Tie Mill.” Little remains from the old mill, but cable, pipe, rusty spikes and decomposed sawdust are to be found. Lunch break at the mill site.
