Guided Hike: High Point Logging History

Join IATC guru Tom Anderson for a hike to explore the history of the High Point Mill and its logging operation on the slopes of West Tiger Mountain. Starting at the High Point Trailhead, we will hike up the High Point Trail to the Tiger Mountain Trail, and finally onto the West Tiger Railroad Grade Trail with occasional stops to reflect on the remnants of a logging operation from a century ago.

Come enjoy beautiful scenery, various flora and fauna, and a bit of history. Hikers will also get an up-close look at several logging artifacts. You can check out a trip review of last year’s High Point Logging History hike, courtesy of Nancy Denney, here!
