Film Screening: Good Trouble Documentary
Join us for a viewing of the documentary “Good Trouble” to celebrate the life and legacy of John Lewis. The viewing will be at the King County Library Service Center and doors open at 6:00pm.
The film is an intimate account of the legendary US Representative John Lewis’ life, legacy and more than 60 years of extraordinary activism – from the bold teenager on the front lines of the Civil Rights movement to the legislative powerhouse he was throughout his career.
“Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.”
Coined by civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, “Good Trouble” is the action of coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice and create meaningful change.
We commemorate the 5 year anniversary of his passing on July 17th by learning from his life and his example.
