Cyanotype Workshop: Beautiful Blue and Beyond at The Arts Sanctuary
Join Issaquah based artist Liz St. Andre for an afternoon of art and botanicals.
Explore the seemingly magical world of cyanotypes, also known as sun prints or cameraless photography. With pre-treated paper, plus plants, sunlight and water, we’ll make beautiful blue botanical photograms with a stunning level of detail and depth. Then, using toners, we’ll experiment with color- and texture-altering twists on the classic blue background.
All supplies are included (though students are welcome to bring objects from home) and everyone will take away multiple prints and the knowledge to continue this fascinating process at home.
Class will be held near the Autumnal Equinox in partnership with Issaquah Arts’ Labyrinth of Lanterns installation.
Registration Required. Fees Apply.
Arts Sanctuary is a temporary art activation at 745 Front Street South that will be open between September 5th – October 6th. Issaquah Arts and Our Savior Lutheran Church have partnered together to bring a series of events and art installations to celebrate autumn with art.
