Creative Summit: Community in 3D
Join us for a multi-generational art making experience. Together, we will make a 3D collage sculpture on the theme of community. All ages welcome.
The sculpture will be displayed around our shared community through June 2026 as a celebration of the arts and artists that live here!
All materials will be provided.
Optional items to bring with you:
If you want to participate in the sculpture project: Please bring a small personal object (no bigger than a grapefruit) on the theme of community that will become part of the sculpture.
If you want to “show” in the show and tell: please bring one work of art to display or perform* for the group, and if you like, you can ask for feedback. The artwork should somehow connect to the theme of “Community in 3D.”
*All performances must be under 4 minutes including setup and takedown time. When you register, you must describe your show and tell performance if you are planning one – these may need to be limited based on available time, so register early to guarantee a spot! We aim to have a PA available with two microphones, although you should be prepared to perform unamplified to a welcoming and respectful audience.
Schedule:
1:00-1:30pm – Welcome, socialize, introduce yourself to a couple new people
1:30-2:00pm – Show and Tell
2:00-4:00pm – Group sculpture making project facilitated by teaching artist Karen Hirsch
