Story Time and Author Meet & Greet at Recology in Issaquah WA
Stop by Recology’s new Issaquah location on Thursday, August 21, from 2 – 3 PM for a FREE children’s event!
Jessica Alexanderson, known as Scuba Jess, is a local author, educator, and environmental advocate passionate about metal recycling and ocean conservation. She is the founder of the Recycling Society, a nonprofit that teaches kids how recycling metal—especially aluminum—can help protect the planet.
Jessica will read her book, The Girl Who Recycled 1 Million Cans, lead an engaging recycling game, and share photos and experiences as a certified scuba diver in the Pacific Northwest, where she regularly removes ocean litter and meets all types of sea creatures during her dives. Her love for the ocean inspires her mission to keep aluminum cans out of landfills—and out of the sea.
Join the fun in the new, bigger location next to Gilman Village (355 NW Gilman Blvd, Suite #22, Issaquah).
