Learn the basics of using a sewing machine in this beginner-level sewing class. The class will cover how to use the machine, basic sewing terms, different stitches and you will build confidence to take your sewing to the next level.
Bring your sewing machine, all cords, pedals and manuals. If you are bringing a used machine, you must have it serviced prior to class.

Class Fee: $50 plus Issaquah sales tax.

Northwest Makes is the creative effort of Tiffany Smith-Fleischman, a textiles artist located in the state designated Creative District, in Issaquah, Washington.
She screen prints and sews everything in her Issaquah studio. All fabric is sourced from a wholesaler in the U.K. that works with European mills and maintains a strong commitment to sustainable practices.

Private parties
Book a private group workshop for you and your friends and learn block printing, screen printing, canning, sewing and plant dyes. Minimum group size is 4 and go up to 15. Email to set up a time.
Corporate small-group team building
Creative team-building events for groups up to 15. Prices range from $50 per person for 2.5-hour event to $180 per person for 6-hour event with catered lunch and snacks. Email for more information.
